Join us for an intimate discussion in a panel presented by The Door|an idea house.  Daniel Boulud is one of the world's most celebrated and recognizable chefs, and the recipient of nearly every epicurean accolade imaginable.  When he's not creating iconic dishes or sabering magnums of champagne, Chef Boulud can be found mentoring cooks, so that they can become world class chefs in their own right.   In celebration of the 20th anniversary of his flagship restaurant DANIEL and the launch of the companion cookbook, DANIEL: My French Cuisine (Grand Central Publishing, 2013), Chef Boulud will be joined by a panel of his former cooks including;  Alex Guarnaschelli (Butter, The Darby), Dominique Ansel (Dominique Ansel Bakery), Lee Hanson (Minetta Tavern), Lior Lev Sercarz (Le Boîte Biscuits & Spices), Michael Anthony (Gramercy Tavern), and Riad Nasr (Minetta Tavern).  These chefs will join Chef Boulud on a special panel moderated by another Daniel alum (and familiar face), Gail Simmons of Top Chef  and Food & Wine, to talk about the lessons they learned, the challenges they encountered, and what it takes to run a kitchen the DB way.
