Food and memory are inextricably linked. FOOD & WINE Editor-in-Chief Dana Cowin convenes a panel of star chefs to talk about how memories inspire their cooking. Some questions they'll tackle: What are the chefs' earliest food memories? What is the most memorable dish they've ever made? What makes another chef's cooking unforgettable? Does chasing after trends ultimately lead to forgettable food? Can unhappy memories inspire delicious food? When customers take photos of their food, does it detract from their memory of the meal? The discussion will show how even a chef's most technically accomplished dishes can spring from personal experience and reveal how emotion and artistry meet on the plate.
