Chef Jason Tilmann discovered his passion for cooking while in high school and soon embarked on an illustrious culinary journey that has led him to his current role as Executive Chef of the highly acclaimed, intimate French restaurant Triomphe in Midtown Manhattan’s Iroquois Hotel.
Tilmann, a young and talented chef, has studied with celebrity masters such as Iron Chef Morimoto, Ming Tsai from Blue Ginger, David Burke, and Norman Love. David Burke immediately recognized Jason’s talents and invited him to assist in the planning and opening of the famous David Burke & Donatella restaurant, among other roles within his growing restaurant group.
Tilmann’s notable prior experience includes roles at Union Square Café, Daniel, Le Cirque, Morimoto, NYY Steak, and traveling to Singapore to lead a team of chefs to build and open Hide Yamamoto in Marina Bay Sands Hotel.
Chef Tilmann has shared his passion for cooking for audiences around the country with appearances on famed TV shows Iron Chef America, Chopped, and leading cooking segments on CBS On the Couch, Fox’s Good Day New York, and the nationally syndicated Better TV. With a love of sharing of his knowledge, Tilmann has also been featured as a regular contributor to eHow.com.
